Norwich City have completed the signing of Gillingham striker Simeon Jackson for an undisclosed transfer fee.
He has signed a two-year deal with the Carrow Road-based outfit while Cody McDonald has gome the other way, joining the Gills on a season-long loan.
Manager Paul Lambert is delighted with the capture and Jackson will now vie for a starting berth alongside captain Grant Holt in the Championship next term.
Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "I'm delighted to have Simeon at the football club. He'll be a great addition to the squad and will put pressure on the other lads.
"He's a goalscorer, scored loads of goals for Gillingham in the last two seasons and is an international striker.
"We first saw him at Rushden and Diamonds, where his goalscoring record was brilliant and obviously we came up against him last season when he was at Gillingham."
