Canaries swoop for Brellier

Norwich City have completed the signing of former Hearts midfielder Julien Brellier.

The 25-year-old Frenchman left Tynecastle at the end of last season and has agreed a two-year contract at Carrow Road.

Brellier is Canaries boss Peter Grant's fourth signing of the summer, following the previous acquisitions of Jamie Cureton, Matt Gilks and Jon Otsemobor.

"Julien will be a great asset to us and I'm delighted to bring him into our squad," Grant told the club's official website.

"He plays the game at a high tempo, likes to get close to the opposition and he knows when to fill in to free other players to get forward.

"Other clubs have been interested in getting him, but he's chosen to come to Norwich, which is very pleasing."
