Canaries sign up Chadwick

Norwich City have completed the £200,000 signing of Stoke City winger Luke Chadwick.

Chadwick, 26, has been on loan at Carrow Road since November but has made only one appearance after suffering a knee injury in his goalscoring debut in the derby defeat against Ipswich Town.

But Canaries boss Peter Grant has decided to make the move permanent despite the former Manchester United winger still being four weeks away from full fitness.

"People saw on his debut what a good player he can be for us. He was the shining light for us that day and we also saw how good he was when he was in the Stoke side which beat us 5-0," Grant told the club's official website.

"He's another player with great quality and will add to our squad. He wants to be successful and wants to be back playing in the Premier League with us."
