Canaries sign Everton youngster

Norwich City have completed the one-month loan signing of Everton's highly-rated teenage left-back Patrick Boyle.

Canaries boss Nigel Worthington swooped for the 19-year-old to provide cover for captain Adam Drury until after the trip to Birmingham City on October 17, although there is the possibility they can extend the loan.

Boyle, who has progressed through the youth ranks at Goodison Park, has managed to feature as a substitute in David Moyes' first-team squad without actually making an appearance.

However, he is a Scotland Under-19 international and a team-mate of Norwich's promising right-back Andrew Cave-Brown.
