    Canaries rescue late point

    10 Apr 2010 - 17:25:15

League One leaders Norwich City needed a last-minute equaliser to rescue a 1-1 draw at home to MK Dons.

Aaron Wilbraham looked to have secured all three points for the Dons with a first-half goal, but Chris Martin levelled the game netted his 22nd goal of the season from a free-kick with one minute left after Wilbraham himself saw red.

Millwall eased to a 4-0 victory over Gillingham at the New Den thanks to goals from Shaun Batt, Tony Craig, Danny Scholfield and Neil Harris.

The Gills have still not won away from home this season, while the Lions are up to second in the table.

A second-half Anthony Wordsworth brace helped Colchester United to a 3-0 win over Swindon Town, Ashley Vincent netted the other goal in a comfortable home win.

Second-half goals from Max Gradel and Luciano Becchio secured a vital home win for Leeds United over Southend, Becchio's strike was his 13th of the season.

A Charlie MacDonald brace helped Brentford to a 3-0 win over promotion chasing Huddersfield Town. They were MacDonald's 15th and 16th goals of the season, Lewis Grabban grabbed the other.

Gary Madine scored a late winner for Carlisle United after Brighton's Tommy Elphick had cancelled out Ian Harte's opener with just five minutes remaining.

Oldham beat Bristol Rovers thanks to a late winner from Deane Smalley. Lewis Guy had opened the scoring after 48 minutes for the home side, before Jo Kuffour levelled for Rover.

Michail Antonio gave Southampton a 1-0 win over Charlton thanks to a goal after 34 minutes.

Two goals in two minutes put Yeovil Town 2-0 up at half-time against Stockport County, Dean Bowditch and Gavin Williams getting their names on the scoresheet.

Williams then netted his second after the break to make it 3-0 and wrap up the points. George Donnelly pulled one back for the home side, but it proved to be just a consolation as the Hatters were relegated to League Two.

Walsall's Emmanuele Smith scored at both ends in the first half to leave his side level against Tranmere Rovers.

He had put through his own net to gift the visitors the lead but he redeemed himself eight minutes later. Darren Byfield scored with 20 minutes to go to secure all three points for the Saddlers.

Jon-Paul Pittman and substitute Matthew Phillips gave Wycombe a 2-0 win over Hartlepool with second-half goals at Adams Park.

The game between Exeter City and Leyton Orient ended goalless.
