Canaries rescue Glovers draw
12 Dec 2009 - 17:22:42
Yeovil Town and Norwich City shared six goals between them at Huish Park with both sides netting in injury time at the end of the game.
Dean Bowditch, Shaun MacDonald and Jonathan Obika all found the back of the net for the home side, while Chris Martin and Gary Doherty scored for Norwich, before Darel Russell snatched the point for the Canaries, four minutes into added time.
Bristol Rovers ended Swindon's four-game winning streak with a comfortable win at the Memorial Stadium. Andy Williams, Jeff Hughes and Jo Kuffour all netted first-half goals to give the Pirates a 3-0 victory.
Rickie Lambert continued his impressive scoring run by registering a brace for Southampton to help them to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers, it marked their fourth league win on the bounce.
Stockport County's dire run in the league persists after Charlton condemned the Hatters to an eighth consecutive defeat thanks to goals from Sam Sodje and Scott Wagstaff. A late own goal from Robert Elliot left the scoreline 2-1 in the visitors' favour.
At Roots Hall, Southend came from 2-0 down to record a memorable win over Hartlepool. Adam Boyd and an own goal from Anthony Grant put the visitors two up, before Francis Laurent and a Lee Barnard brace gave the home side the win.
A second-half double from Steve Morrison gave Millwall a 2-1 victory over Walsall despite trailing to a Darren Byfield goal after eight minutes.
Two goals in seven minutes were enough to give Oldham Athletic a 2-0 win over Exeter City, Dean Smalley and Paul Heffernan with the goals in the 51st and 58th minutes respectively.
Huddersfield came from a goal down to secure their first win in four attempts. Lee Novak cancelled out Simeon Jackson's early goal before Jordan Rhodes gave the home side all three points in first-half added time.
The only goalless game of the day saw lowly Brentford hold-table toppers Leeds United at Griffin Park.
A Vincent Pericard goal just before the half-time interval was enough to give Carlisle United all three points against Wycombe Wanderers, who remain in the relegation zone.
Two goals in the last 11 minutes salvaged three points at Leyton Orient for the MK Dons, who had trailed to a Scott McGleish opener before substitute Dean Morgan and West Ham loanee Nigel Quashie secured the win.
