    Canaries move five points clear

    27 Feb 2010 - 17:17:58

Leeds United's disappointing league run continued at the Galpharm Stadium as they were held to a 2-2 draw by local rivals Huddersfield Town.

Anthony Pilkington put the home side ahead before goals by Jonathan Howson and Luciano Becchio in five minutes gave the visitors the lead.

However Gary Roberts hit the equaliser with five minutes left, meaning Leeds have won just two games in ten in the league.

Norwich City took advantage to move five points clear at the top of the table, as Grant Holt's goal secured a 1-0 win at lowly Oldham Athletic.

Despite conceding a goal after just three minutes, Southampton stormed back to take a 3-1 lead into half-time against Walsall.

Jason Puncheon got the leveller before Lee Barnard scored a three-minute brace. Rickie Lambert then finished the game off with Saints' fourth, his 26th of the season, before Adam Lallana completed the rout to make it 5-1.

Two goals in two first-half minutes gave Stockport a comfortable cushion over relegation rivals Wycombe, before Jemal Johnson and George Donnelly further stretched their lead.

However Matt Phillips scored a brace to give the Chairboys hope and a late Owain Williams own goal made it exciting at the end, but the home side held out for a 4-3 win.

Dominic Blizzard gave Bristol Rovers the lead against Colchester but John-Joe O'Toole levelled for the visitors just five minutes later. Jo Kuffour and Chris Lines put the game beyond doubt for the home side in the second half despite a late reply from Kayode Odejayi.

Tommy Elphick and Gary Dicker secured a valuable 2-0 win for Brighton over Exeter, with the goals coming in each half.

Ian Harte scored a brace for Carlisle United to secure all three points against Gillingham, the second coming from the penalty spot.

Neil Harris scored his 17th goal of the season to give Millwall a 1-0 win against Hartlepool at The New Den.

Yeovil's Shaun MacDonald scored the only goal of the game against MK Dons to secure a good win over the play-off hopefuls, while the game between Leyton Orient and Swindon ended goalless.
