Norwich City's new manager Peter Grant has set his sights on a raid of League One club Bournemouth for striker James Hayter.

Grant, who arrived at Carrow Road earlier this week after leaving his position as assistant to Alan Pardew at West Ham, has admitted his interest in Hayter, who has scored five times in 15 appearances this season.

"I've not made any inquiries about James," said Grant.

"I've not seen him play for probably 14 months, but you have always got to be looking at a player like James with the amount of goals he's scored."

Meanwhile, Grant has rubbished reports that Darren Huckerby could be on his way out of the Championship club with Celtic believed to be potential suitors.
