Canaries extend Mooney loan

Norwich City have extended striker Dave Mooney's loan spell from Reading until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old Irishman has scored twice in four appearances for the Canaries to date and has impressed City boss Bryan Gunn in the process.

Gunn told the club's official website: "I'm absolutely delighted and want to thank Reading for giving us the opportunity to have David for the remainder of the season.

"He can't play against Reading, but we look forward to him making an important contribution in the other five games left.

"He's brought what I said from the beginning, which is goals and enthusiasm. He's a great guy to have around the dressing room."
