Canaries close in on Turner deal

Norwich boss Chris Hughton is poised to strengthen his squad further with the capture of Sunderland defender Michael Turner.
Press Association Sport understands the 28-year-old headed for East Anglia after the two clubs agreed terms on a deal.
Turner, who arrived at the Stadium of Light from Hull during the summer of 2009, appears to be surplus to requirements on Wearside following the capture of free agent Carlos Cuellar and Titus Bramble's return to contention.
Then manager Steve Bruce snapped up Turner for what looked like a bargain £4million with the defender having at one point played himself on to the fringes of the England squad.
Nevertheless, he played in the final 20 games of last season with Brown recovering from knee ligament damage.
However, new boss Martin O'Neill is looking to reshape his squad this summer and while his focus for recruitment will be on attacking players, he needs to weed out those members of the current set-up who do not feature in his future plans.
