Norwich City have landed Sunderland striker Chris Brown in a £325,000 transfer.
The 22-year-old has followed Jon Stead through the exit door in a busy day at the Stadium of Light after the former Blackburn Rovers striker signed for Premiership Sheffield United.
Brown has made 16 appearances for the Black Cats this season, but has been deemed surplus to requirements by manager Roy Keane.
"Chris is a big lad with great technical ability," Canaries manager Peter Grant told the club's official website after pulling off the transfer coup.
"It is rare to get the combination and he will offer us something different. He has great experience but also great potential."
