Things can only get better, can't they?

Why do I make these predictions, when my record on getting them right is so bad? High flying Canaries? Us dear? Oh dear! No dear! But surely we should not let our confidence ebb away just yet? Let's wait until Gillingham have dumped us out of the Carling Cup! In case anyone does not recognize it, that is what is known as reverse psychology; or, in this case, a perverse prediction! I suggest that Norwich will come unstuck at home for the second time in the space of five days and the lads rise to the occasion by blasting their way into round two of the cup with a hatful of goals! Well, it is possible, and a cup game at Carrow Road should be just what the doctor ordered following the disappointing performance in front of the television cameras. The only question now is how Paul Lambert will react in terms of the team he picks and the formation he chooses on the night? Even against the Gills, he will have to do something to avoid his players being hit on the break as frequently as they were by Watford - especially in the first half when the Hornets were really buzzing! At least the curse of Sky TV will not be a factor, so, whatever happens, it will not be seen by a wider audience than those in the ground. But it would be really fantastic if the "under-sixteens" watching live football for just £1 -under the "Kids for a Quid" concession - could witness a performance by City that will persuade them to join the queue for season tickets in the not too distant future...
