Sky Blues close to Clingan swoop

The 25-year-old's switch to the Sky Blues appeared to have fallen through a fortnight ago due to high demands made by the player's agent, despite a fee having been agreed between the two clubs. But Coventry boss Chris Coleman suggested on Monday that a deal may be back on after "one or two people came to their senses". And so it has proved after an agreement was struck on Friday with Norwich and the player, making Clingan the first new arrival at the club this summer. The news comes on the same day left-back Dan Fox agreed a switch to Celtic.
