Ruddy relishing Everton reunion

Summer signing John Ruddy is looking forward to facing his old team-mates when Norwich host Everton in a pre-season friendly later this month. The Toffees are due to visit Carrow Road on Saturday July 31 and Ruddy, who joined the Canaries for an undisclosed fee from the Goodison Park outfit this summer, will be hoping to get one over on his old pals. Ruddy, who saved a penalty in the recent friendly at Stevenage, could get another chance to face Premier League opposition in the home friendly against Newcastle this weekend. But it is the Everton fixture that stands out for the 23-year-old and he told the club's official website: "It was a bit strange seeing that in the fixture list. But it will be good to see them all again. "I'll get to say a proper goodbye to the other players. It will be nice and I hope we get a result in that one especially." Elsewhere, fellow goalkeeper Declan Rudd played the full 90 minutes as England's Under-19s lost 1-0 in a European Championship game against the Netherlands on Wednesday evening.
