Ruddy doubt for Canaries

Norwich boss Paul Lambert is waiting on the fitness of goalkeeper John Ruddy ahead of the trip to Doncaster. Ruddy missed Saturday's 2-1 win over Barnsley with a dead leg sustained in training and will be given until the last minute to recover. Declan Rudd played against the Tykes and will fill in again if required as the Canaries look for another three points. Midfielder Andrew Surman is beginning a two-month lay-off with a knee injury so Simon Lappin should continue in his place, though Anthony McNamee staked his claim for a start after coming off the bench to create both goals on Saturday. Centre-half Michael Nelson is sidelined for two months with an ankle injury so on-loan West Brom man Leon Barnett will continue. Full-back Steven Smith is yet to make his debut since suffering an ankle injury in pre-season and Zak Whitbread is still out with a calf injury.
