Premier League weekend predictions: Norwich v West Ham

By 14 September 2012 04:36

A tough one to call as the visitors, despite a crushing defeat at Swansea, have hit the ground running after their return to the Premier League.

Two home wins have put the Hammers in the top half of the table whilst Norwich are still awaiting their first league victory of the season.

The Canaries have recovered from a potentially devastating 5-0 opening day defeat at Fulham with a couple of nerve-settling draws against QPR and Spurs.

Chris Hughton has steadied the ship at Carrow Road, but needs his strikers to start delivering after just two goals in three league games so far.

Opposite number Sam Allardyce is pleased with his side’s start and has put his striking faith in Carlton Cole following the injury to Andy Carroll.

Big match forecast: Home win – Norwich 2 West Ham 1

Key player: Grant Holt (Norwich)

Bookies’ bet: Home win – 13/10; Draw – 12/5; Away win – 2/1
