Norwich City are set to complete the signing of striker Aaron Wilbraham from MK Dons for an undisclosed fee.The 31-year-old will join on a loan deal initially, making him available for the New Year's Day visit of QPR.

But the move will become permanent later that day with the former Stockport man signing an 18-month deal.

Wilbraham has scored three times in 12 games this season for the League One Dons and was sent off in his last outing, a 2-0 defeat by Notts County.

The frontman started his career with Stockport and scored 36 times in 185 appearances before joining Hull City for £100,000 in the summer of 2004.

He fits the physical bill as a Holt back-up, not sure if he can cut it at Championship but I trust Lambert Beefforhire He had just one season with the Tigers, which included two goals in 20 games and a one-month loan spell at Oldham.

A switch to the Dons followed in June 2005 and he has gone on to feature 202 times, finding the net on 57 occasions.
