Dutch national news site NU.nl confirm a price has been agreed upon for the versatile Swedish striker who can also slot into midfield. Toivonen played 117 league games scoring 56 goals in Eredivisie for PSV, and will join Dutchman Ricky van Wolfswinkel, subject to agreeing personal terms, in what should be viewed as a very potent attacking force. Wolfswinkel comes in from Sporting Lisbon scoring 28 goals in 55 appearances.
Assuming personal terms can be agreed upon, Norwich's push to go one step higher than their 11th place finish last season and finish in the top 10 appears to be progressing nicely, although Chelsea's continued interest in goalkeeper John Ruddy may cause some consternation. However, given Mark Bunn's series of excellent performances throughout Ruddy's injury last season, it's certainly not all doom and gloom were Norwich to decide to allow Ruddy to leave.
