The 6ft 4in midfielder joined the club at the start of the summer and has helped City achieve their impressive unbeaten pre-season run of six wins and a draw. "Nobody wants to miss the boat," the 24-year-old told the Evening News. "You can sense it could be the beginning of something good this season. It's impossible to guarantee that, but if we keep doing the right things, who knows?" Tudur-Jones is more than happy to be fighting off the competition from fellow newcomers Matt Gill and Stephen Hughes as well as Tom Adeyemi for a starting spot. "That's the way it should be," he added. "I don't think it's a case of having one game to stake your claim, you've got to be on your game all the time. "If you are off your game for one game, two games, three games then you're going to be replaced, and rightly so - that's the way the football world should be."
