McKenzie set for Addicks debut
The 31-year-old striker, signed from Coventry on transfer deadline day, played 45 minutes in the reserves' clash with Ebbsfleet on Tuesday.
Parkinson told the South London Press: "We're working really hard with Leon on his fitness. He's champing at the bit to play.
"He is doing well and he was close to being involved at the weekend, but Izale McLeod did well when he came on in the previous game so I didn't really want to change that.
"Leon's doing enough in training to suggest he could be in the squad on Saturday. Hopefully he can nudge his way towards involvement."
