Matty heading back to his homeland
The 24-year-old midfielder was reported to be on his way to Sundowns, with a medical arranged with the club for Friday.
However, agent Joseph Cotty told the Evening News that Pattison was heading for Pirates.
"Sundowns wanted the boy to come for trials, but Pirates wanted to sign him straight away," said Cotty. "Now seemingly they (Sundowns) are desperate to sign him after getting news that he was going to Pirates."
However, another agent Jerome McCarthy insists the player is on his way to Hristo Stoichkov's Sundowns, saying: "We have all the necessary powers to handle the player's deal in South Africa and are negotiating with one team (Sundowns).
"We will be finalising the player's transfer deal by Tuesday," he added.
