Lambert worrried about his squad

The Canaries bounced back from Monday's unlucky defeat at Leeds in the best possible fashion as they beat Swindon 1-0 at Carrow Road, with Chris Martin firing home a loose ball from a corner on the half hour mark to settle the issue. Lambert was pleased with the hard fought win, even though his squad is being stretched to the limit right now, with the problems perfectly illustrated in defence where George Francomb joined fellow right-backs Michael Spillane and Jon Otsemobor on the sidelines. "We were 22nd or something like that when I came here and the rise up the table has been very pleasing. If we keep doing what we are doing we will be in the mix," said Lambert. "But even if we'd have had everyone fit there are still areas of the pitch that we need to address. The crux of the matter is that the squad is not strong enough. "If I could bolster it I would, but we don't have the finances to do that."
