Lambert: We are up and running

With six new faces in the starting line-up, the impressive Canaries were 3-0 up after just 35 minutes as Grant Holt, Korey Smith and Jon Otsemobor took advantage of poor defending from the visitors to get on the scoresheet. Jon-Paul Pittman and Matt Harrold scored either side of the break to put the hosts under pressure again but defender Jens Berthel Askou effectively settled the issue with a powerful header, before Holt netted his fifth of the season to complete the rout. "I'm delighted for the players and I'm delighted for the fans," said Lambert. "The club was hurting a lot after what happened on the opening day of the season and hopefully we have given everyone something to smile about. "I would have taken 1-0 beforehand - that would have done me fine - so it was a very satisfying result. "This club has got a lot going for it - terrific facilities and a wonderful fan-base - and we just need to get the team up and running again. This was the first step and we will be doing all we can to turn things around."
