Lambert upbeat despite late Lions strike

Norwich boss Paul Lambert was proud of his side's performance after they drew 1-1 at Millwall but was disappointed to concede so late on in the game. David Fox's first goal for the Canaries put them ahead after 75 minutes but John Marquis salvaged a point for the home side in stoppage time. Lambert said: "It's a bit of a sickener but we did it on Saturday to Burnley so it happens. I thought the lad was offside when he put it in - he's on the line and no-one is anywhere near him." But he added: "It could end up being a huge point come the end of the season - we should have won the game but I was proud of the lads and the way we played. "Simon Lappin isn't a left-back but I thought he did great and I'm really pleased for David Fox that he's got his first goal for us as he's played well for us - he deserved a goal and it was a fine strike. "We had seven players out injured or suspended so we had to throw a few kids on the bench and I couldn't be happier with the group."
