Lambert: Our title chances are good

Substitute Chris Martin headed home a perfect right-wing cross from Stephen Hughes in the 89th minute to condemn nearest rivals Leeds to a heartbreaking 1-0 defeat and leave the Canaries 11 points clear at the top of the table with just eight games to play.[LNB]"It was a very tough game and there weren't many chances which often happens in a match between two good, evenly-matched sides," said Lambert. "I can't speak highly enough of the lads for coming through it. They've kept going right to the end and that's happened quite a few times this season.[LNB]"In fact Leeds did it to us up at their place so perhaps this makes up for that. It gives us a little bit of daylight at the top with four home games left to play. We have certainly given ourselves a good chance."[LNB]Lambert was pleased with the contribution of young striker Martin, who had been dropped from the starting line-up, and added: "I had a chat with him in midweek and told him what I was going to do and he was fine about it.[LNB]"I just felt he had started to look a bit jaded but he has come on and at the age of just 21 shown what an excellent finisher he is."[LNB][LNB]
