Lambert hopes to send Steer out

Norwich boss Paul Lambert is hoping someone will take a loan chance on young goalkeeper Jed Steer. The City boss called Steer into his first team squad at the weekend and is keen for him to gain some first team experience out on loan, but Lambert admits that finding a manager prepared to help blood the England Under-18 international isn't going to be easy. He told The Pink'un: "Other teams are under pressure and if they take a chance on a young kid, even though I am sure he wouldn't let them down, your job is on the line at times. Do you throw somebody that age in? "It's hard for a manager of any club, especially in a first-team game where your job depends on other things. "He is getting bigger and filling up. He's only a kid in goalkeeper's terms but he is going to be a really good goalkeeper. His hands are good and he kicks it really well, so I don't have one problem with Jed. He is going to be very, very good."
