Lambert happy with 'big three points'

A brace from the predatory Grant Holt - one early goal and one late in the game - helped the Canaries to a welcome three points against a young Stockport side. Wes Hoolahan also scored for City from the penalty spot.[LNB]"It was a battling performance and it had to be that on this pitch. It's not the greatest, particularly so after the rugby team played on it on Friday night," said Lambert.[LNB]"Credit to the lads though, they did battle away. This is not an easy place to have to come to and get a result. The home crowd were galvanised when they scored to make it 2-1 and there were one or two nervous moments.[LNB]"This was a big three points for us again though, and once again Grant Holt was terrific for us. Every week he seems to keep up his levels of performance and I have to be delighted with that.[LNB]"The third goal was particularly pleasing as it finally finished the game. Cody McDonald did some terrific work down the right and the ball was just asking to be put into the net. I'm delighted for all our travelling fans too, they were excellent again."[LNB][LNB]
