Lambert compensation close

A decision on the Football League tribunal relating to Paul Lambert`s switch to Norwich from Colchester is yet to be officially confirmed. Us chairman Robbie Cowling has on Tuesday stated he is happy with the compensation the Essex club have received having filed a complaint about the nature of Lambert`s departure, stating a verdict has been made. He also goes on to stress he does not believe the Football League have imposed enough sanctions on the Canaries, although an official announcement is still to be made. The pair failed to agree on a compensation deal after Lambert and his assistants Ian Culverhouse and Gary Karsa swapped clubs back in August last year, shortly after guiding Colchester to a thumping 7-1 win over Norwich at Carrow Road. The two clubs put their case to a disciplinary commission back in late April.
