Lambert backs Lennon to succeed

Lambert has been linked with the Parkhead post following Tony Mowbray's departure in the wake of Celtic's 4-0 humbling by St Mirren.[LNB]But he preferred to back his former Hoops team-mate Lennon, who has been placed in interim charge of the team and could lead Celtic for the remainder of the campaign.[LNB]"I hope 'Lenny' goes in and does great, I really do," Lambert told Sky Sports News.[LNB]"He's a big friend and a terrific football person and hopefully he'll go in and do well and have some sort of success from now until the end of the season."[LNB]Lambert, 40, won every domestic honour available at Celtic in a spell lasting almost eight years, before starting out in management with Livingston in 2005.[LNB]He has since gone on to boss Wycombe, Colchester and, since the early weeks of this season, Norwich.[LNB]"I don't have any decision to make," Lambert said.[LNB]"I love it here, it's a great football place and I've got a great rapport with the people here.[LNB]"I can't tell you what's going to happen in the future, I can't tell you what's going to happen tomorrow, (but) I love it in Norwich.[LNB]"I get sick and tired of people saying (I'm) linked with that one and that one.[LNB]"I love it here, I really do."[LNB]Norwich are on the brink of being promoted to the Championship and Lambert, who won the Champions League as a player with Borussia Dortmund in 1997, does not want an added distraction.[LNB]"It's just you guys speculating and everyone speculating," he said.[LNB][LNB] Celtic v Kilmarnock.
