Holt refuses to be distracted

Striker Grant Holt insists Norwich will be focused on gaining a crucial win against Portsmouth on Monday - regardless of what result promotion rivals Cardiff get. The Canaries will kick off at Fratton Park after the Welsh club have finished their match at home to Middlesbrough, but Holt said the quirk in the fixture list will not be a distraction. "It doesn't change anything, whatever happens in their game we've still got to win," he said. "We've got six points to play for and that's what we'll be going for." Portsmouth, like Middlesbrough, have little left to play for this season but Holt warned: "We know it's going to be tough at Portsmouth, they're a good team. "You could see at Derby, they knew they were safe and they still put on a good fight. In this division, anyone can beat anyone - there could be players out of contract who are trying to prove a point." On the promotion battle, he added: "I don't think anyone `deserves' it - I think we've earned it, at the start of the season a lot of people wouldn't have expected us to be up there but we've been very consistent and played at a high level and hopefully we'll get the rewards for that."
