Gunn hoping to keep Hoolahan

The forward, 27, arrived at Carrow Road from Blackpool last summer and was one of few plus points for the club last season as they suffered relegation to the third tier. Hoolahan was again in fine form at the weekend, playing a starring role as Norwich beat Premier League Wigan 3-2 in their final warm-up match before the start of the League One season. And Gunn is hoping he will be able to keep hold of the Irishman as transfer activity hots up before the August 31 deadline. "Yes, I've got worries about hanging on to him," said Gunn in the Norwich Evening News. "Wes is a quality player but his commitment has been to Norwich and I think you've seen throughout pre-season that any time he's taken the pitch he's performed well. I hope he'll continue to do that for Norwich. "We understand that money talks. Up until now there's not been any interest, so that's down to other clubs to create that. But certainly we won't be encouraging it."
