The Canaries appealed against the decision of Premier League referee Andy D'Urso after Doherty was dismissed just before half-time for a challenge on City striker Dele Adebola.[LNB]Bradley Orr scored from the subsequent penalty and Norwich went on to lose the game 2-1, but after viewing video evidence the FA has rescinded the red card so Doherty will not serve a two-match suspension.[LNB]"This shows the appeal system works," Canaries boss Bryan Gunn told the club's official website.[LNB]"It won't bring us points but we will have an influential figure available for our next game and we are delighted about that."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
