Crofts walks suspension tightrope

Norwich midfielder Andrew Crofts will be back in the squad for the trip to Reading. The Wales international missed the 1-1 draw at Millwall through suspension and saw his replacement David Fox find the net on Tuesday night. Manager Paul Lambert has a decision to make but is likely to hand Crofts a recall, although the player is one booking away from a further ban. Left-back Stephen Smith picked up a hip injury last weekend so Simon Lappin should continue to fill in. Fellow full-back Adam Drury (calf) is still missing while central defenders Zak Whitbread and Michael Nelson (both ankle) are also sidelined, although the latter has returned to training. Midfielder Andrew Surman remains a casualty with a knee injury and Stephen Hughes is making good progress as he recovers from a recent ankle operation.
