Canaries say goodbye to Cort

The 31-year-old joined the Canaries on a short-term contract on December 9 and that deal was set to expire at the end of June. Cort was dogged by a foot injury towards the end of his time at Carrow Road and that was behind the club's decision to allow him to leave early. Norwich boss Gunn told the club's official website: "We wish Carl all the best. He came in at a difficult time and did a good job for me when I took over. "We wish him well with his fitness battle and hope he finds a new club and we see his career progress." Cort made 13 appearances for Norwich and scored one goal - against his former club Wolves in a thrilling 3-3 draw at Molineux - before his campaign was prematurely ended at the start of March.
