Bly scored 38 goals in 67 games for the Canaries and played a huge part in the historic 1958-1959 FA Cup run. He scored seven goals in nine games, including two in the giant-killing defeat of Sir Matt Busby's Manchester United, as Norwich reached the semi-finals as a Third Division side. Former team-mate Terry Allcock told the club's official website: "I'm very sad and shocked by this news and first and foremost my thoughts go to his family. "He was a level-headed lad and deserved the success he had in his career. Although he was only at Norwich for a short while he made an immense contribution, particularly in the cup run. He was a popular guy and this is very sad news." Norwich have confirmed they will have a moment's applause before Tuesday's League One clash with Leyton Orient at Carrow Road.
