Canaries fans boost Gunn kitty

The Canaries were faced with paying out well over £1million in refunds to season ticket holders entitled to claim a discount after the club dropped into League One. However, one in three fans had decided to let the club keep the money and the £359,304 that Norwich saved will be matched by director Michael Foulger, giving Gunn nearly an extra £720,000 to spend. Foulger, a lifelong fan and a director for 13 years, told the Norwich Evening News: "I thought it may have been a bit higher but, at the end of the day, what we still have is 18,000-plus season ticket holders showing their commitment, whether they're taking the rebate or not. "The money goes straight to the manager's playing budget. You're talking about more than £700,000 in a League One budget."
