Canaries closing in on new chief

The Canaries are on the look-out for a new boss after the sacking of Bryan Gunn last week and McNally has confirmed that the board have identified their number one target and are ready to headhunt him.[LNB]"We have identified who we would like to see and we've focused on our number one target. I have met with him and we are in talks," McNally told the club's official website.[LNB]"I can't confirm when he will be at the football club but I am confident at some point, we should be able to make a positive announcement.[LNB]"He is currently employed at another football club. I am confident that our number one candidate the right credentials for this position. We have researched the qualities and the experience and we've looked at suitable references and we believe that we have the right person in our sights."[LNB]Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins and Southend boss Steve Tilson have both been heavily linked with the post.[LNB][LNB]
