Canaries chief delighted with CBE

Smith, who celebrates her 68th birthday on Thursday, has had a 40-year cookery career and has been involved with the Canaries since 1996 when she saved the club from going to the wall. After being awarded for her culinary achievements, Smith told the club's official website: "Obviously it's a very, very great honour. "I've been writing recipes for 40 years now and so I imagine it's recognition of that. It does feel special - it's difficult for me because what I do, I write recipes and demonstrate them on TV, feels just like regular, every day work. It doesn't feel like it deserves any special honour. "When I got my OBE I met the Queen so I might meet her again or it may be another member of the Royal Family. It will be a great day out and we'll have a celebration."
