Butterworth hails Nelson capture
Butterworth knows the defender from his days at Hartlepool where he was a reserve-team manager.
He told the club's official website, "We are delighted that he is here. He is a dependable guy.
"He explained that he felt he had got a bit stale at his previous club and hopefully this move will give him fresh impetus.
"He said he wanted to play on a bigger stage and we have given him that bigger stage. It is now up to him to take that chance and I am sure he will."
