Norwich have signed West Brom defender Leon Barnett on loan until January 4. The 25-year-old joined the Baggies from Luton in 2007 for an initial fee of £2.5million and he has made over 50 starts for the Premier League club. Barnett spent last season on loan with Coventry and could make his Canaries debut at Nottingham Forest at the weekend. Norwich manager Paul Lambert said: "With Michael Nelson out for a few weeks we felt it was the right thing to do to bring someone in and strengthen in that area. "Leon is a quality player who has played Premier League football as well as having solid experience at Championship level so I am delighted to bring him in."
