Norway coach Egil Olsen, whose side is well-placed to reach the Euro 2012 finals, on Thursday signed a new deal to remain in charge until 2013, the country's football federation announced.

Norway are currently third in Group H in Euro 2012 qualifying, but behind Portugal and Denmark only on goal difference.

"I am very motivated to continue as coach and I am happy that the federation is sufficiently satisfied with my work to want me to continue," said Olsen, affectionately known as "Drillo".
