Northwich Victoria's new manager Alvin McDonald is targeting an escape from the threat of relegation after taking charge at Wincham Park.
The former Vauxhall Motors boss has taken over from Steve Davis at the Vics and saw his new charges draw 3-3 at home to Accrington Stanley in his first Nationwide Conference game in charge.
Afterwards, he told BBC Sport Online: "This is the chance I have been looking for.
"You want to try and manage at the top end of your trade and the Conference is the place to try and work up to.
"We have a brand-new ground being built and we want to stay in the Conference, so fourth from bottom would be the minimum target. That would be a success.
"Football is football and, if you can get organised and get a good team spirit, you can make things happen."
