Northwich Victoria boss Alvin McDonald is planning to make some drastic changes to his squad as they attempt to climb away from the bottom of the Nationwide Conference table.
The Vics have won only once in 17 Conference fixtures this season and McDonald believes the team's forward line and midfield are both in need of serious rebuilding work.
"Without hanging anyone out to dry, one win in 17 games doesn't lie. The squad isn't good enough," he told BBC Sport Online.
"We are trying to get players in and I've got five or six irons in the fire.
"It's going slower than I would like but I'm hoping by the end of the week to have one or two in.
"If we can get people in, two players can make an awful lot of difference.
"We've got to keep positive and keep our heads up. If we get out of it we will deserve it, and no-one is working harder."
