Worthington sets sights on second

Northern Ireland boss Nigel Worthington is determined to lead his side all the way to the finals next summer following their loss at home to Serbia last week.

They face Estonia on Tuesday and both sides still have high hopes of finish second in the group, but Worthington is determined that his side will claim that honour.

He told www.irishfa.com: "We don't go out on to the pitch to not do well - what we want on our CVs is to get to Championships."

Worthington added: "We were all disappointed with the result but it's gone now and we have to move on to the next game and try to put it right.

"We're still in it. We have to pick ourselves up for the game against Estonia and hopefully we can get the right result and if we can get the result then everything will change for us."

Worthington's side currently sit fifth in the group but are only two points behind second place Slovenia and a win in Tallinn would mean they remain in contention.

Estonia have also put themselves in a strong position to qualify following an impressive 2-1 victory away in Slovenia on Friday and they will be hoping to carry that form into the match.
