Injury has forced Derby forward Jamie Ward and Liverpool defender Ryan McLaughlin to withdraw from Northern Ireland's squad to face Romania in a Euro 2016 qualifier.

Ward has not played since October 18 because of a thigh problem while McLaughlin is suffering with a groin injury.

Heading into this week there were concerns over Southampton midfielder Steven Davis, who reported a hamstring problem at the weekend, and Fulham defender Aaron Hughes (ankle) but so far there has been no update on their chances of being fit for Friday's match.

Rochdale midfielder Matthew Lund and Oldham defender Carl Winchester have been called up to the squad for Friday's game to cover for the withdrawals.

Brentford's Stuart Dallas had been on the standby list but he was unable to join up with the squad due to fitness reasons.
