Town working hard to keep crowds up

A new BBC survey on the 'Price of Football' makes for interesting reading

Town worked hard towards the end of last season and in the summer to market a very good value for money season ticket at £199 which compares well with many of their League Two counterparts in the BBC survey (although the cost of a cup of tea and a pie at Sixfields bumps up the cost of a day out at the match).

Cobblers' crowds are currently the 10th best in League Two with a 2012/13 average gate to date of 4,322.

Last season's final average was 4,867, around 500 or so up on the current campaign but there is still plenty of time for that gap to be made up, especially if Aidy Boothroyd's side are hunting for promotion come April.

4,607 watched the comprehensive win over Exeter last time out and any fan attending for the first time this season cannot complain about the quality of the Northampton display.
