Town wait on Crowe choice

Northampton Town boss Stuart Gray is bracing himself for the possible exit of defender Jason Crowe from Sixfields.

The 28-year-old is a reported target for Nottingham Forest, with Gray waiting to see whether Crowe pens a new Town contract or opts to move on.

He told the Northampton Chronicle: "We are still in the frame to re-sign Jason Crowe. As you would expect, there is other interest in him.

"If Jason agrees to stay with us, then that is great. If Jason decides to go, then we will shake hands, wish him well and move on.

"We are planning for both eventualities, it is just a case of waiting to see."
