Northampton Town have released four and offered fresh terms to a further five soon to be out-of-contract players.

Cobblers boss Stuart Gray has revealed that Sean Dyche, Pedj Bojic, Jerome Watt and Danny Green have been handed free contracts.

Meanwhile, Jason Crowe, Chris Doig, David Hunt, Brett Johnson and Liam Dolman have been offered new deals and Fred Murray will be invited back to Sixfields for the start of pre-season training to prove his fitness.

"You can see the squad has been reduced big time and I am going to be working under a tight budget," admitted Gray.

"But everybody will start afresh when we come back for pre-season."
