Top detective retires from police

One of Northamptonshire Police's top detectives, who acted as family liaison officer to the Spencers after the death of Princess Diana, has retired.Det Supt Charles Moffat, who in 2003 investigated the high-profile rape and murder of 79-year-old Joan Biggs, retires after 30 years with the force.
