Northampton Town have confirmed that veteran midfielder Ian Taylor will make his final appearance before retiring after Friday's League One meeting with Huddersfield Town at Sixfields.
The 38-year-old former Port Vale, Sheffield Wednesday, Aston Villa, Derby County and Cobblers midfielder has made more than 550 appearances in a career spanning over 15 years.
Taylor has made 37 appearances for Northampton this season, but has decided to hang up his boots at the end of the campaign.
"It is only right that Ian should sign off in a home game where supporters of both his current and previous clubs have the chance to show their appreciation," Cobblers boss Stuart Gray told the club's official website.
"He will play a part against Huddersfield on Friday and he will then retire as a professional player.
"He will not be involved in our final game of the season against Doncaster Rovers, so we would ask all supporters who wish to pay tribute to Ian to come along to Sixfields.
"He has had a fantastic career. It is rare these days for a player who played at the highest level for so long to continue their career down in Leagues One and Two.
"His attitude has always been spot on and he has been a terrific example to the younger players we have here."
